AYUSH Ministry states ayurveda doctors admitted to do general surgery

Ayurveda doctors will now be provided to offer a variety of general surgeries

THDNewsDesk: On Sunday, The AYUSH Ministry provided explanations over the Indian Medicine Central Council (Post Graduate Ayurveda Education) Amendment Regulations 2020, stated that “the notification is specific to 58 specified surgical procedures and doesn’t allow Shalya and Shalakya PGs to take up any other surgeries.”

It concerns a recent move in the Central government declared that Ayurveda doctors, will now be provided to offer a variety of general surgeries like ENT, ophthalmology, and dental procedures.

This progress came after the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), which manages the medical study and study of Ayurveda, altered the Indian Medicine Central Council (Post Graduate Ayurveda Education) Regulations, 2016, to admit the PG students of Ayurveda to practice general surgery.
