The group is headquartered in Tucson, Arizona, and its parent company is Roper Technologies. Its history page says CliniSys was founded in 1988 by William Woodard and a group of pathology specialists and was later merged with Sunquest, and that Clinisys supplies over 7,000 laboratories across 42 countries.
Its UK products include Clinisys WinPath, which the company says is relied upon by most pathology laboratories in the UK and Ireland, Clinisys ICE order communications and Clinisys Laboratory Solution. The company states that almost two-thirds (61%) of NHS trusts use Clinisys. News items on its site report WinPath deployments at health and social care trusts in Northern Ireland, at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and in pathology networks in Sussex and Greater Manchester.
