What it supplies
Patchwork Health supplies workforce software to NHS organisations. The company says it was founded by NHS doctors and started in 2016 at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a way for resident doctors to fill locum shifts within their own trust. Patchwork Bank, an open staff bank with digital pay and built-in compliance, went live across the NHS between 2018 and 2020, and Patchwork Rota, which added rostering, leave management and exception reporting, launched in 2022.
In 2024 the company acquired L2P to bring job planning and appraisals into its platform. Its products now cover job planning, rotas, temporary staffing, appraisals and workforce analytics. The company states that more than 58 per cent of the NHS uses Patchwork.
