Vernacare Ltd makes infection prevention, clinical waste management and surgical products. Its global head office is at Matrix Park, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, and it lists four UK manufacturing sites, at Chorley, Bolton, Worksop and Blackwood in South Wales, plus a facility in Maple, Ontario, Canada, which together design, produce and distribute its products.
Its infection prevention range covers patient hygiene, environmental cleaning wipes and sprays, and a single-use human waste disposal system made up of the Vortex Air+ macerator, medical pulp, super absorbents and maceratable wipes. The company says this system is used in hospitals and care homes and is trusted by over 90% of NHS hospitals. Its clinical waste range, which it describes as systems for the secure disposal of sharps and non-sharps, includes recycled sharps containers and recycled and cardboard clinical waste containers. Vernacare also offers private label and OEM manufacturing.
