THDNewsDesk: A Covid negative report from an RT-PCR test will be required, for people visiting Maharashtra from Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa — states witnessing an increase in coronavirus cases. Maharashtra, the state hit severely by Covid but now recuperating, published specific guidelines this evening to put a control on incoming people from these states and avert a relapse.
The laws will include travellers on both flights and trains, who have to show the negative test results before boarding. In the case of flights, the test has to be undertaken 72 hours before arriving. For trains, the time is 96 hours and will involve the trains that stop or terminate in these states.
However, those who have to take a test, airports will run, test centres, where the passengers will be obliged to test at their own cost before they are permitted to continue.
For trains, travellers who have not taken RT-PCR tests will be inquired for symptoms at stations when they get off. If they have any symptoms, they will have to take Rapid Antigen tests.
In the state of road travel, travellers from the concerned States will be examined, for symptoms including the body. The notification read, “Passengers without symptoms will be allowed entry. Passengers with symptoms shall have the option of turning back and go to their home to recuperate.”
