THD NewsDesk, Thane: On Saturday, the civic authorities had withdrawn a license of a hospital in Dombivali town of Maharashtra’s Thane district. The hospital is known to be Sri Swami Samartha Multi Speciality Hospital. They have been deferred off its COVID-19 label for claimed breaches and failures in treatments of the patients.
Madhuri Phopale, PRO Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) said that the hospital was given a show-cause notice for the excess billing of over Rs 6 lakh. They failed to respond to that notice.
She further added that they had received several grievances against the hospital. They asserted that the hospital overcharged patients.
