THDNewsDesk: eSanjeevani, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s telemedicine enterprise, has achieved six lakh teleconsultations. In the last 15 days, it logged in the previous one lakh consultations.
The aid is available in 27 states and Union Territories, with Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Gujarat incorporating the eSanjeevani OPD for 12 hours daily.
The digital platform caters eHealth assistance through more than 6000 doctors who use 217 online OPDs inpatients to adopt telemedicine model eSanjeevaniOPD.
States are increasing the extent of health services to the masses in smaller towns and rural sectors through eSanjeevani (AB-HWC). It is functional at approximately 4000 Health & Wellness Centres associated with more than 175 hubs (establish at District Hospitals and Medical colleges).
More than 20,000 clinicians and health employees have been on eSanjeevani’s two variants. Presently, eSanjeevani registered more than 8500 consultations daily.
The initiative is to be executed at 1,55,000 HWCs under the Government of India’s Ayushman Bharat project in the ‘Hub & Spoke’ model by December 2022. Currently, eSanjeevani AB-HWC is operational at approximately 4000 HWCs and, the remaining HWCs are in progress.

Given the versatility and efficiency of the aid of eSanjeevani to increase the extent of health services, states are steadily envisioning to adopt eSanjeevaniOPD for inmates of old-age homes and prisons.
