THD NewsDesk, Patna: If you are suffering from baldness, are losing hair, or have scalp skin concerns, the Bihar government provides free treatment for the patients in the government hospitals. If there is any disease associated with the scalp’s skin or is bothered by a headache, Bihar provides Ayurvedic treatment free of cost for 2.5 months. The famous Shirolep therapy of Panchakarma in the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital has now commenced. This Panchkarma therapy is the first Ayurvedic hospital in the state to start this treatment.
Earlier, this kind of treatment was available in only the states of Kerala and Karnataka. In this distinguished Panchakarma remedy, a paste prepared by grinding various herbs is applied on the head. After applying the paste, it is coated with egg leaves and tied and kept untouched for about 45 minutes. It can be used more than once, according to the severity of the condition. This treatment is offered under the supervision of a specialist Ayurvedic doctors.
The Panchakarma experts of Shirolep therapy have come from Kerala and Karnataka to offer the same treatment in Bihar.
Panchkarma was previously accessible in the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital. The Shirolep treatment under Panchakarma could not be offered earlier due to the scarcity of specialists. However, lately, two Panchkarma specialist doctors have entered the Shirolep treatment unit in Bihar.
Both of the doctors have expertise in MD in Panchkarma itself. There were no MD doctors in Panchkarma in Bihar before the two doctors from Karnataka and Kerala flew down. One of the Panchakarma doctors is Dr. Siva Prasad. He has pursued his MD degree from Karnataka and has served states like Kerala and Chhattisgarh in his professional career. The other specialist is named Dr. Poonam Kumari. He has attained his MD in Panchkarma from Kerala itself. With the arrival of these two, all forms of Panchakarma therapy now functional in Bihar. Additionally, along with Shirolep, ‘Shirodhara’ and ‘Shirobasti’ therapy is also being offered in the Bihar government hospitals.
Panchakarma is offered free of cost at the Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital located in Kadamkuan, Patna. On average, 25-30 patients enroll themselves in therapy every day. The therapy is offered for 15 days to two and a half months, depending on the severity of the patient’s condition. Prof. Dr. Dineshwar Prasad, Headmaster of the college, describes that Panchakarma is a procedure to cleanse the body internally.
It eliminates all kinds of toxic elements from the body. Not only patients but even healthy people can attain this therapy. It gets the body rid of many illnesses. At the same time, this therapy is preventive as the person can avoid and prevent diseases for a long time.
